The Calling

There are things in life that we imagine ourselves doing (i.e. a fantasy, like flying per se) and there are others that we can see ourselves outside of our being making them happen but we do not imagine in the most remote way physically doing them. Almost like our imagination doesn’t reach that far, like the vision invades the imaginary senses of our brains.

I’ll try to explain myself, I saw myself for a long time preaching and giving prophetic words, tying and untying with the maximum power that broke the bronze skies that impide me from receiving what awaited for me and many people in a general sense. I saw myself in the past writing in the internet but I never imagined myself doing it. I saw it possible but I didn’t know how… humm it’s supernatural And that power made me reach the third heaven here and in other places which I am not sure if you can grasp the feeling of visualize the picture, it was overwhelming, powerfully and empowering; for many years. I can still see myself doing it in English and Spanish & with translators (glory be to God), but I can NEVER imagine myself physically doing it, perhaps because I don’t see the means or the ways possible—only God and time will tell.

However, I can clearly understand that the vision comes from something bigger than a childish dream, is not an imagination is a passion that gives you the dream to back it up. Is a higher power that empowers you.

Have you ever had anything similar happening to you, maybe with a career or something you dream of doing, places you truly want to go, like on a rescue mission etc.? Is not a fairy tail that makes you imagine things and fantasize and create false ideas, that make you day dream but not move forward with desires to pursue them because you know those are fantasies when you dream of flying but you know you can’t (at least not on your own) that will never be attained.

The calling is a passion that lives within a person, a God given vision given to them to reveal to them what will later be confirmed by a either great intimacy with God, a persistent and uncontrollable passion for a field, person, or need, or a sensitive hearted person perhaps a very humble and privileged one that God will allow to speak to one in this matter.

In one occasion I shared with someone that

“The calling is what moves your sphere and proves to you that God will use you in any field that you are in”

This applies to the secular world as well, if you have a passion and a calling to be a engineer and your parents want you to be a Doctor, it does not matter how smart you are or how well you master your classes you can obtain your Doctorate and do your disertación in the most complicated health disease; your passion will always pull your mind and your heart to think about the scientific discoveries but not pertaining to health, the ones pertaining to economical solutions and technical problems.

In this world there are the things that we have and the things that we want.

My questions to you are what are you doing to obtain the things that you want?
And, do you need everything that you have?

Sometimes we have to let go of some of the things that we have in order to make room for the things that we need, and want. Are we pursuing our passion, are we listening to our calling, or are we just living off of our imaginations and what people think is best for us?

I always say that when are children we have no control of our lives, but as adults we are entirely responsible for our spiritual, physical, and mental wellbeing those 3 elements will feed depending on how clean our soul is.

Don’t forget that every plant needs a root.

What you are feeding your soil today?

Those branches will reveal it in the future.

Dear to move in the extraordinary things that await for you when you move by faith, speak faith and declare that great things will happen and come your way. You will begin to see your visions come to pass and your dreams come true. .

Thank you for your time and trust, don’t forget that you are more. There’s more within you. Your are important and if you talk to God you will obtain discernment once you’re filled with the The Holy Spirit.

If you haven’t accept God as your Lord and Savior here is an opportunity and a calling to do so, just say this prayer with faith.

“Lord, I have sinned against you, I repent of my sins, I ask you to please forgive me. I accept you as my Lord and savior and I want to walk with you for the rest of my life. Please allow me to feel the presence of your Holy Spirit and to have your Grace, Amen”.

By saying that simple prayer of salvation or any other similar with faith, and reverence you will be saved and walk for the rest of your days filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit of God.

Faith does not mean that it will be easy, it means that it will be possible.

With love as always,

Denise Kilby

Find Healing for Your Soul & Spirit

That will make your heart and body feel better

Mental balance will be added as a bonus;

At the end of the day we all want to lay down in bed and be able to say “I had a great day today”.

Unfortunately that is not the case in every household (when I talk about house I am referring to the heart), although I am sure that is the ultimate goal, because no one on this earth wants to lay their head to rest at night and say “wow, what a terrible day I had, I look forward to more misery tomorrow, more pain, grater suffering, to more tribulations, heart aches, and possibly the failure that will accompany all of that”.

As humans we naturally long (hunger, thirst, wish, urge) for a sense of satisfaction (gratification, compensation, delight, contentment, happiness) and that is perfectly normal; in fact what it would not be normal is to live a life where you never wish to find happiness on anything you did.

When we lose connection with ourselves we can somehow end up living a hopeless life, and sadly living a life where we don’t care what the outcome of our days turn out to be. Sadly to say that is the case of a lot of people on the surface of this earth. There are individuals who seem to not care for what happened to them yesterday and appear as though they are self destructive; walking down a disorganized pathway in life. Somewhat avoidant or even ambivalent. Others are so anxious that appear as if they worry about everyone else’s problems a little too much. Truth is that in between the different types there are many personalities, traits and mental health conditions to which God can provide healing and balance.

No one can see what goes on in the interior of our bodies by simply looking at us, the only one that knows us from the inside out is God, before you were form indeed. I am sorry, but not even your parents.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah1:5 NIV)

He’s supernatural power is for supernatural healing!  (just to bring awareness). The greatest news is that we are talking about a creator healing God and not a God that we are creating among each other, we are talking about a God who created us.

Jehovah ~ Shammah ~ “The Lord is there “Present” in the middle of it all, at the gates of the city, whenever you’re the God that created us The Lord is There.

Jehovah ~ Nissi ~ “The Lord is my Banner” We have to do like Moses and trust and believe that The Lord is our banner and say it out loud and walk in that faith, knowing that he can bring bring healing to our soul, that we can find peace in him, that our house (our hearts, our spirit, & soul) can love again, and our home (where we reside) can be set free from bondage.
Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. (Exodus 17:15)

Jehovah ~ Jireh ~ “The Lord Who Provides” Will provide healing for your soul, your heart, your mind, and your body will begin to feel better and lighter after you let go and start receiving from what He has to offer. He sees everything you need (also everything you have AND don’t need), He will see to it, He will come through on its due time. God may put you to the test but as long as you remain faithful He will ALWAYS show you the way, He has a purpose for everything that He is doing, there is a reason for everything that happens in life.

Are you believing that you can do life alone, or are you feeling like you can’t continue to go on alone? Either way the word alone is asked in that question right…how to answer? The bottom line is that our most intense feelings are tied to the connections we make with the people we love or need the most. No one can do life alone. But everyone of us needs to be able to understand who we are before we commit to anyone else. We’re always going to need somebody! Avoiding people is not the answer to find ultimate satisfaction in life, either. Not that we are looking for ultimate satisfaction,(wink-wink) but… to be able to at least find some sort of contentment in life we need to first find our—Shammah, make Him our banner, know He will come through, and be certain He is Jehovah ~ Rapha~

Jehovah ~ Rapha ~ “The Lord who heals”. God can provide and will provide physical, soul, & spiritual cure to all your pains and sorrows that will give you great peace of mind. Therefore don’t take His word lightly 7 “Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you1Peter5:7 (ISV).

You are not alone and don’t have to face live alone, there is no need to fight your battles alone when you were created to surrender your cares on someone stringer. When you are weak if you don’t cease in prayer and continue to trust God then you will begin to notice that you are strong stronger than you ever believed. Only the true ones who are truly secured on themselves reached out to others when they need help or are gong through tough times.

If you or anyone you know is going to a tough time, I encourage guy to reach out. Talk to someone, pray together and don’t forget that you’re not alone.

I am only an email away.

Constantly praying and thinking of new ways to grow together 🙂

Warm hugs,

Keep Your Vision on The Mission

This post was originally written and posted on 5/15/2018, but today I had some readers visiting this post in particular and it spoke to me. I changed the image and the main tittle as I had posted originally in May (spring time) here I am reposting believing and trusting that it will speak to a lot of people again!

Don’t let what you don’t see NOW take your eyes away from what you KNOW despite of what you see in front of you!

I come to you with fervor anger to wake you up to help you understand that your current situation have been shaped by a series of circumstances not by a person nor a creator. Your creator is bigger! You are more! Don’t you worry by what is right in front of you, the battles you’re facing right now are something that will end despite of what you’re seeing, don’t try to fight them alone.

Are you physically fighting these battles? Phew, I didn’t think you were, unless you are reading me from a literal AND PHYSICAL war zone right now (and if that’s the case my respects and please BELIEVE Jesus will come through). Let’s continue; that is because these battle are not physical. Then how come we can feel beaten, how can we say we are going through a battle or that we are battling at all, and they are so exhausting and overwhelming, Denise?

Because they are spiritual. They drain us, we are humans, we worry, we become angry, we use it wrongly, we get anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, develop obsessive compulsive behaviors, sexual misconduct, become adulterous and A LOT MORE! Those are the battles we face everyday, some fight them some join them some only notice them when they are in too deep others don’t notice them at all and need to be save by someone else. There’s hope to fight if  you’re willing to give it a shot, there’s a devil who has his demons on the loose trying to keep the minds captives and making them feel all sort of negative feelings, unbalancing chemicals in the brain breaking marriages, corrupting children, bringing pornography to our homes, making our teenagers feel unworthy or grow an altered ego! YES!! THAT IS THE DEVIL’S DEMONS. Because the devil came to lie, to steal, kill and destroy. But there’s also a God, who came to bring life, abundant life (John 10:10). This is all a spiritual battle, if yoou’re not physically fighting it you’re mentally fighting it. A lot of people believe in the satan but fail to believe in God, how about we say “not today satan, not today I made a choice to believe that good things come to those who pray and believe in good things!”

Who are you willing to fight for today? Is it for your children, your marriage, your friend, your job, your spirituality, your wholeness, your health, or a love one, perhaps a stranger? Whatever, whoever it is! There’s hope! Be patience and do what every season requires of you to do.
I am fighting today for my house, for my children, for my health (in all aspects) and for everyone in this world who needs a good fight in prayer. That is why I write and share this message with you.

Enjoy the seasons in your life and remember that there’s always two tests that you have to pass

Who you are when you have a lot and who you are when you have less, these are the tests of faith.

What do you choose to believe during drought season? Do not let what you see cloud your spiritual vision, you know that conviction that you feel in your heart what many people call a “gut feeling”.

Do you think it’ll rain again, does it look like it’ll spring again? Let your intuition guide you to positive thoughts that will eventually take you to positive things in life. Learn how to connect with the things that you don’t see but that you do want to see and let go of negative thinking. #hope .

Who do you believe? Connect with the source of life don’t live in a world filled with beautiful things and beautiful people feeling empty.

Do you believe the people who are saying that spring will never come or do you believe what you have known your whole entire life? (be careful with that—spring always comes). Will nature continue to take its natural course even though the current circumstances are saying otherwise?  When you have your spirit centered in greater things your faith grows in the super natural and you begin to see things possible, you believe there’s hope for growth, change, overcoming, prosperity, wealth, health, wisdom, and faith begins to bloom. You will no longer see as the world sees you will see things that are not as if the ordinary sees it and you will believe the impossible possible. #faith

What do you know, what have you learned throughout your life, what has God showed you? What you know about life and what you have learned are just part of the process, part of the walk, part of the battle, part of the scars necessary to mark you and shape your tomorrow. What you have learned from it is what will give you the ultimate victory! Do not be anxious about anything! — #certainty

The Meaning of Faith

“Now faith is the assurance that what we hope for will come about and the certainty that what we cannot see exists. By faith our ancestors won approval.” (Hebrews 11:1-2)

“Sometimes you have to be angry to try to save someone and when I’m angry I write to inspire change, and hope”—Denise

Which reminds me of Martin Luther King Jr. , I love his quote below.

“I find nothing that promotes work better than angry fervor. For when I wish to compose, write, pray and preach well, I must be angry. It refreshes my entire system, my mind is sharpened, and all unpleasant thoughts and depression fade away.” –Martin Luther

#Passion #love #anger #calling #future #inspiration

My beloved readers: I write, pray and believe in faith that what I share here with you for free, by grace because it was given to me by grace will have a great impact in your lives and the lives of those with whom you decide to share it with.

“Please remember that this is with the intention to inform, encourage, motivate, and educate not to replace any medical advice prior given. Always seek the advice of your physician or other professionally qualified mental health provider wih any questions you may have regarding medical conditons”

Email me where it says “contact”, text or call me (if no answer leave a voicemail!), you can also contact me on intagram with any questions, do not try to solve problem on your own, this is for you to know that you are more and you’re not alone I am here to guide you and hold your hand.

With love, passion, willingness, and your best interest at heart,

365 Days of New Opportunities

Could we change something this year?

What if I tell you we can?

There are circumstances that we create and turn into situations that mark our lives, many others are circumstances of which we become victims because of family members or people with whom we live create a series of situations and even if we do not want to, we become easy prey of the adversary and without realizing we end up addicted to an abusive and unwanted life pattern.

But with each new day comes the opportunity to start from zero.

You see what I am saying (I truly hope so), every time I say God what is going on with this world why isn’t anyone doing anything for each other anymore? I am hit straight in my face with truth and sleepless nights with walking around looking disconnected with hearth, praying, writing and reading trying to figure things out…ugh—(THAT’S WHY I HAVE YOU, HE SAYS!) this is why I write so much for you this why my passion is bigger than my need for sleep and keeps me up until 1 am and it awakes me at 4am readers, take advantage. Reach out, stop complaining (ask questions later).

Okay now, we make mistakes—again—we live and learn, so can we learn from our mistakes and move on shall we?

Today I want to talk to you about the opportunity that God gives, and the gift that He will give you each of the 365 days of this New Year that is approaching.

Many of the people who fail their New Year’s Resolution (if they) do not have God in their heart as a spiritual guide to centralize them and keep them in the right path end up worse by the end of the year.

Some examples are that: When goals are proposed to get out of depression and to obtain mental closure if they do not seek the right help they tend to fail into a more severe depression, others who fail their diet will gain even more weight, those who say they won’t intake more alcohol if they fail will still take more than they took the previous year and alcoholism will end up consuming them, those who say and propose higher financial goals if they do not do well in their jobs feel even more inept than before (and it is there a lot of times when depression and suicide enters the homes) they let that affect them with their families and in their marriages. The reason for this is because a life without the guidance that keeps us with our feet on the ground is like trying to walk on the clouds with our feet stuck under rocks, instead of with our feet on THE ROCK (which is Christ Jesus) therefore life weighs more instead of feeling lighter.

It ALSO happens that people rise too much to such a level that fame, riches, vanity, and vainglory consumes them, it hurts their soul, and the evil yoke rots on their soul on a spiritual level that The Holy Spirit of God begins to grieve silently (but that’s another theme, for another day or for email).

I don’t know if you want to be one of the bunch, but like I said… I don’t want to be one of bunch!

I was not going to publish this type of “New Year’s Resolution” publication but I read the following today somewhere and it motivated me to write this publication,

“We can not do everything at once, but we can do something at once”

Something AT ONCE-—PACE YOURSELF Don’t you think that if we look at the days as they arrive and we make plans and goals for ourselves and for our lives in order to work on them one day at a time and one goal at a time life will begin to have more lightness in itself… in our daily routine?

God does not give us the 365 days all at the same time, then why do we try to do everything at once, or in many occasions wish for everything in life (that all the good things happened) at the same time?

Do not worry about anything; rather, on every occasion, with prayer and petition, present your requests to God and give thanks. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will take care of your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4: 6-7), worry for one day at a time Matthew 6:34, one goal at a time Philippians 3: 12-14.

God equipped us with a substance called opioids “endogenous” that is produced naturally by the molecules of our brain and helps us deal with pain naturally, these opioids are like those of morphine and heroin. This is why many people become addicted to these substances with such an ease and it becomes so difficult to break that addiction, although it was something given by God to help us protect ourselves and fight pain naturally, it was also duplicated by the enemy of God -Satan to bind the children of God to an addiction and keep them bondage to earthly chains.

When we experience traumas, painful situations, abuse in our childhood and even as adults, when we are in sick and harmful relationships and we see that the cycle continues and does not end even when we want it to end because it hurts us and we no longer want to go to on, this applies to our career paths (our relationship with our employers and coworkers), and this also applies to our church live our congregations and our relationships with our pastors and our leaders. It is healthy to do a self-examination and look to see what can be what is holding us stagnant and is keeping us stuck (perhaps bondage) and that could be what allowing us to continue in that pattern and life cycle.

That is why many times it is necessary to look at our past, our childhood or at the beginning of any relationship or career, be it employment or life path; to find out the root of the problem and uprooted—we have to work from the source and not the branches. Everything starts somewhere. As much as we do not want to, our brains produces this chemical to protect us from painful situations, and often (as it is addictive) we get used to the pain, and the cure (the drug, which is also the antidote) does not come unless we go through the disease (but the cure – the drug) is worse than the disease at times.

We must heal, heal our hearts, go through the pain, let our bodies stop producing that antidote so frequent that is keeping us addicted to creating those circumstances and those situations that keep us stagnate day by day… the Lord has processed us in this year, and we can now say in THIS new Year (and every new day) “come with new strength and heal everything that is blocking and preventing me from seeing the severity of the matter”.

Friends, do not be afraid to seek help. You do not have to wait another day, but also you do not have to do everything at the same time… you do not have to wait another year, but ALSO don’t have to do it alone either. As any addiction you need someone to help you out of it, someone who tells you how to break free, how to break the cycle in which you find yourself (we understand that it is not because you want to) sometimes it’s because you love, and love is good but it often hurts, until you are well you are not in a position to help someone else.

Not everyone falls into that category, others are in need of getting a hold of themselves just for them.

The tests and the processes that you did not completed in this year, you might have to face and retake it next year. Think about how you end this year; analyze how you are going to start this “New Year” (see how I’m speaking in present time?) all you have is now!

Are you ready, are you in shape for what is coming or are you going to wait for a resolution to get fit?

It all starts with the heart!

With love,

—Denise Kilby

With love,

Denise Kilby

Whoever Has Eyes and is Able To See, Read On.

DreamingFive am this morning and I saw myself ministering to the people of God at my congregation (where I attend church) telling them “that something GREAT is coming” —present time—, God was calling me to remind them that something GREAT is coming, and in the dream I was passionately telling a lady from my church, the worship leader to be more specific whom I’m keeping her name private (to protect her privacy) to minister that; in the microphones because the people HAD to sing and declare “that something GREAT is to come to the house of God INDIVIDUALLY for each of the faithful followers of Christ” and I saw another sister also from the worship team receive the Spirit of God, and then I saw at a distance a deacon (a female whom I love dearly and I am also keeping her name private for privacy purposes) in the Spirit of God!

Some-time later I got up because I heard my oldest preparing to go to work so I started to give double thanks and glory to God for that (I actually thought “this is the great thing coming!” since my oldest has been struggling to get up in the mornings for work)

After reading the Bible for about two hours and honestly not understanding why the Lord took me to read Lamentations, when He had just told me that “something GREAT was coming!” I ended up in Ezekiel and going through a few chapters of it too…only then could I understand why…

God wanted to remind me of Zion in Lamentations, and remind me that great things will come ALWAYS and WHEN His people are faithful, otherwise all the worst awaits them. As it happened to Zion… but someone has to talk to His people and warn them that He is giving them one more chance. Now I didn’t know how to warm you people (at the time) but then after hours I thought… if I have the opportunity is through this method. God said to me if you have a method use it. Great things are to come the end brings a new beginning! So I thought… December-January.

See what I’m getting at?

And this is what the Lord told me:

“The word of the LORD came to the priest Ezekiel son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar; the hand of the Lord came upon him there. And I saw, and behold, a stormy wind came from the north, and a great cloud, with a surrounding fire, and around it a brightness, and in the midst of the fire something that seemed like shining bronze, and in the midst of it the figure of four living beings. And this was his appearance: there was in them the likeness of a man. Each had four faces and four wings. And their feet were straight, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze. Under their wings, on their four sides, they had the hands of men; and their faces and their wings on all four sides. With their wings they joined each other. They did not turn when they went, but each one walked straight ahead. And the appearance of their faces was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of the four, and the face of an ox on the left in the four; likewise there were four eagle faces. That’s what their faces were like. And they had their wings extended above, each one two, which came together; and the other two covered their bodies. And each one walked straight ahead; where the spirit moved them to walk, they walked; and when they went, they did not turn around. As for the likeness of living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the vision of lighted torches that walked among living beings; and the fire shone, and lightning flashed from the fire. And the living beings ran and returned like lightning. While I looked at the living beings, here is a wheel on the earth next to the living beings, on all four sides. The appearance of the wheels and their work was similar to the color of the chrysolite. And the four had the same similarity; his appearance and his work were like a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they walked, they moved towards its four sides; They did not turn when they walked. And their hoops were tall and frightening, and full of eyes around in the four. And when the living beings walked, the wheels went by them; and when the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels were lifted”.

Just as the spirit of the living beings was on those wheels when they sent the Sign of the Glory of God and moved with the wheels that covered them in the same way the Holy Spirit of God will move with the chosen ones with the fence that He has put around them protecting them when they move to take their word and message to the people of Christ!

“When they walked, they went, and when they stopped, they stopped; also when they rose from the earth, the wheels rose behind them; because the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.”

Then on your feet is the Spirit of God NOT UNDER , and when you stand you hold firm as if it were a device that takes you from the waist to the feet IS MORE like your spine that holds you BLESSED IS THE GLORY OF God, WHEN you decide to get up from the dust and take on life there is the Holy Spirit of God giving you power and follows you like some wheels ready as a giant to get you out of the hole, and follow you in case you get stuck again! Praise be to the King.

“And on the heads of the living beings there appeared an expanse like a wonderful crystal, spread over their heads. And under the expansion their wings were straight, extending towards each other; and each one had two wings that covered his body. And I heard the sound of their wings when they went, like the sound of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the noise of a crowd, like the noise of an army. When they stood, they let down their wings. And when they stopped and lowered their wings, there was a voice above the expansion above their heads. And on the expanse that was above their heads was the figure of a throne that looked like sapphire stone; and on the figure of the throne there was a resemblance that resembled a man sitting on it. And I saw an appearance like a gleaming bronze, like the appearance of fire within it round about, from the aspect of its loins up; and from his loins down, I saw that it looked like fire, and that it had a glow around it. As it looks like the rainbow that is in the clouds the day it rains, so was the appearance of the brightness around. This was the vision of the likeness of Jehovah’s glory. And when I saw her, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one who spoke. ” Ezekiel 1: 3-19, 21-28 RVR1960,21-28.rvr1960

I said to myself I can not go over my leaders to preach a word in my church, I also don’t feel like I am prepared to do so, and I even ask how does one ask permission to bring a message at church? And God tells me not to fear—then how will I bring His word…? I believe that I have to pray and fast to find what the Lord wants to tell me in the following and to find out how to take this message to the people. Because “something GREAT is to come!”

After long hours of editing and fixing typos and brief story of my childhood and sending it to two people with massive errors making sure it wasn’t too much and proof reading it I said “ok my website”:

“He said to me: Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you. And after he spoke to me, the Spirit entered into me and he held me on my feet, and I heard the speaker. And he said to me, Son of man, I send you to the sons of Israel, to rebellious people who rebelled against me; they and their parents have rebelled against me until this very day. I, therefore, send you to children with a hard face and an inveterate heart; and you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh. Perhaps they listen; but if they do not listen, because they are a rebellious house, they will always know that there was a prophet among them. And you, son of man, do not fear them, nor be afraid of their words, although you are among brambles and thorns, and dwell with scorpions; Do not be afraid of their words, nor be afraid of them, because they are a rebellious house. You will speak to them, then, my words, listen or stop listening; because they are very rebellious. But you, son of man, hear what I speak to you; do not be rebellious like the rebellious house; Open your mouth, and eat what I give you. And I looked, and behold, a hand stretched out toward me, and in it was a scroll of a book. And he spread it out before me, and it was written in front and behind; and there were written in it laments and lamentations and woes. “

Ezekiel 2: 1-10 NKJ1960

I was very surprised that the Lord took me on this trip and this beautiful experience, (I felt like everything He was saying to Ezekiel He was also saying to me). Since I was a child I dreamed of preaching and I went to church with a neighbor who introduced me to the Christian church (since then I fell in love with God) all the plays they did and all the things I learned about the gospel were amazing, I remember my brother played as one of the two men who were crucified alongside Jesus. She took us both for many years, I used to lock myself up with a Bible in the room and pretended that I preached as a “hallelujah”—HARDCORE— TOO!! (Although I was baptized by the Catholic Church and I made my first communion I always visited the Christian church) on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, those services where awesome from 7-10:30 (woo those where the days!) I remember asking my mom “can we go to church with Ana?” (Most Times was a, yes!. To try to find ‘balance’ my brother and I would sometimes walk to the Catholic Church on Sunday’s (because we were Catholics ya know…)

…I have so much to learn but I think the passion is so great that I even dream that I preach, until the other day I hesitated due to fear—doubted God and believed I was perhaps starting to become just one of the many more who thought they could preach better than the pastor since it seems to be an epidemic now a days…I came out of church and just wanted to preach…(because sometimes you get carried away by people even if you have God screaming in your ear) “I do not know if it is my illusion” (I used to say) and I said many times to God, “it is my dreams to preach to the nations the good news of the gospel, I want people to fall in love with you for you, to get to know you, and to be saved, I know what it is to be in the world and to have been saved”. But, no! Doubts are gone… I UNDERSTAND now, because I dream it and I feel it, because I can not sleep, and although I still have a lot to learn, I understand loud and clear why I came out all fired up… because I am so worried about this passion that is bigger than me. And because prophets of the Lord have told me “not to keep quiet that I was called to speak” … why? Because, this is MY CALLING!

I understand why the preparation is so important, so when the launching time arrives you can have fuel and do not stay halfway (like it happens to many people)… this is about doing what God wants, AS GOD WANTS it (not as we want it-or as the last preacher said it) with the word of God, and with the Word that God gives to us specifically for others not to find self-fulfillment. Even if it makes us feel uncomfortable at first or if it makes others feel uncomfortable, it’ll bring satisfaction to our soul, because it is a soul saving solution. Scanned by God to save your town, it requires time and preparatory and whoever does not have it loses its place… this is not a fast soul saving solution! This is a long-term soul caring solution!

THE CONCLUSION (finally huh—I know—):

“Do it individually” [that was the old conclusion] when I planned on texting everyone God tells me to…or still plan as God directs me, I originally wrote this in Spanish while standing at my kitchen counter (why standing? I don’t know, but I was inspired and it took me like two hours to translate and did it standing too).

So back to concluding,

“Why limit the word of God by texting the message to a few contacts when I could possibly reach millions” —Denise

I said I’ll bring the message; “Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

Matthew 13:9 NIV

I understand that this is a little different but I believe it can still help anyone who’s willing to be open-minded, if you have any questions please, contact me with an email, and I will be more than glad to respond. I love interaction.Thank you for patiently reading me, I know I can write my soul out! One day I will write a book hehe I promise (ha I’m joking not joking!!) I just publicly declared it and I believe it in the name of Jesus, I have enough writing to put a book together. Anyone wants to be my editor and publisher? I don’t have any money though, just the word of God and love to give!

Blessings my friends

Generation Z Managing Stress

Let’s try to understand others shall we…

Sometimes as I look at my 19 year old son I think “he doesn’t even put any effort into trying to think” (is that even such a thing) okay judging free zone like planet fitness—don’t judge me—truth is that he thinks a lot more than I can even or ever imagine. I actually believe he is a lot like me (more than I’d like to admit right now) he studies people observes the world, the way people treat each other, the way people live, the way that I am, what I say verbally and non-verbally, the way I judge verbally and non-verbally as well, he is maturing in silence and even stressing in silence as well.

Is like when he does speaks he is letting out in two or three phrases everything he hasn’t said in two or three months. Have you ever wonder what this generation Z (young people full of silent life) think about? Gosh scary to think…but if you want to know i recommend you play a “Tell me something about your and how you feel” game with them— I’ll tell you more about it in a sec, but truth is that they might not tell you much while they are put on the spot (or sat in the hot chair) but the minute you start talking about them or trying to describe who they are or give them identity as a parent whether  in a jokingly manner or not boy I tell ya’!

Interesting, huh… well reason why I talk about this is because as I was saying he thinks a lot more than I can (or want to) imagine. The way that he manages stress is very different (and important for me to understand as a mom) than the way that I do. A lot of parents or adults don’t know how to talk to generation Z or how to approach them, they believe that they are silent in their own world and absolutely absent in the “reality” of the one we live in.

As a mom of three beautiful souls of this generation I was moved today to write a quick post to inspire my friends (all of you) and lovely readers to try to understand our younger generation, whether they are friends, neighbors, co-workers, siblings, step-kids, OUR OWN children, kids of friends , or an extended relative…etc.

Children let’s not expect but instead listen to their silent and respect their short phrases, make sense to their words and appreciate their feedback.—Denise

My 19 yr old son said to me yesterday that “I always thought I was right” in a little game that my 11 year old decided we driving to my mom’s house, called “Say something about yourself and how you feel” (the game I mentioned earlier). And I genuinely value his feedback and prayed about it, I so hope that I can listen to him more and allow him to express himself more as well (whether verbally or non-verbally), & that I can learn how to listen to him and understand him as well. Because as a coach and counselor I perhaps may be leading and guiding, directing all the time and not precisely doing much listening in my own family just because I posses a believe that “I know what I’m talking about and I can help” attitude and instead I am sending the wrong message because those are not my intentions. I have a lot to learn and my intentions are for all of us to grow together.

Perhaps I am not allowing them to talk, and they are stressed out, I thought (he wasn’t the only one to talk… it was pretty funny and things got interesting with the youngest one too-but real to me), while they were joking I was analyzing everything,  they are bottling stress and this can hinder their happiness and perhaps their future. I am not trying to shut them off (perhaps you’re not either) but they think that I am Mrs. Know it all and that they are “Team don’t have a voice/chance”. And that is not the case.

There’s is a part in the brain that is not fully develop until age 25, therefore they’re are not fully capable of comprehending and understanding things that someone over the age of 25 would be able to.

They escape, and focus on finding refugee to social media and use it as a source to “relieve stress” from annoying mom and dad. Social media is a stressor for young people today (for generation Z:people born in mid 90’s and 2000). They go to bed late and experience disturbance in sleep, headaches, mood swings, and more stress related symptoms. Social media can be a help or something that causes stress depending on how is being used. Learning how to manage and limit social media can limit stress, but if our young people are using it as way to seek happiness they can end up worse because there is such a diverse of lives that they can end up comparing theirs with and instead of feeling better they can end up worse.

Eating better and staying active, physically socializing and exercising is a great for young people to manage stress, reaching out to seek mental health professionally, counseling, therapy, finding a life coach or mentor can be very helpful to manage and minimize stress as well. Learning coping skills and how to address a situation to manage that stress effectively when it arises will help all of us to manage that stress effectively.

People are really feeling the effects of the environment and we need to be aware of what goes around us, which means that although the environment isn’t getting better we need to work harder at staying better and not letting it affect us. Whatever the issue is people should be active in those issue but understand that in life we can only control our thoughts, our actions and our own feelings—not anyone else’s. Therefore, the way things turn out to be might not always be the way we wish for but we can control the way we react to it.

We need to help our generation Z understand that reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength. Break the stigma. Working today on what we want to see tomorrow is the key to opening the door for the place we want to enter later. We all want to be safe in life, no one wants to be in danger, even those who have thoughts of hurting themselves know that they want to be hugged, and finding that safe haven starts by reaching out and asking for help. A lot of young people mistakingly speak base on thoughts and not true feeling and as adults (if you’re and adult reading this) is our job to step in and help.

If you’re under the age of 25 don’t feel like you’re weak or broken or immature, please know that you’re capable and use this as a guide to understanding yourself and perhaps helping others find a better way to managing stress.

Everyday is a new opportunity (as I always say) to begin again.

Today is the day today we’ve been given another opportunity to live, love, give thanks, love God, yourself, the creations, others, and enjoy life!

As always—thinking of you,

Denise Kilby

Anger and Lack of Communication

Humility Leads to Intimacy

Another key component of intimacy, as we read today, is humility. Humility brings us closer to others, since we prefer our spouse over ourselves. Too often we can think of marriage as a punctuation game where one of us has to “win”; unfortunately, if one of you “wins”, both lose. In marriage, both win or neither wins. That is why they should approach each other with humility and honesty, ready to serve each other. Nothing will bring you more intimacy in your marriage than humiliating yourself and recognizing every defect, frustration and imperfection that you have. Once you do this, then you can extend and receive grace with each other. And when do you do that? Just observe how deep you are going.

The Bible encourages the husband to enjoy this life that they are given with their wives

[a]Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 9:9 New King James Version NKJV)

I was watching a presentation video from school once and I heard Dr. Tim Clinton say “That can be very difficult when you sit down to think about everything that separates and tears a marriage apart right?” Those words touched the bottom of my heart and inspire me write this, “tear a marriage apart”. Can you stop for a second and think what are the reason that separate a marriage? Everything that separates a relationship seems to be bigger than what unites it. We do not expect a marriage to exist without anger but for a marriage to exist there must be communication, even in the midst of anger.

Approximately 90% of Americans get married, but between 40/50% separate what this means is that one in 4/5 divorce every day-this is because of “all the things that separate us/tear us apart”.

All the burdens of life, the mental and physical illnesses, the financial burdens, the burdens of work, the lack of time together, the responsibilities in the church, with the children … the hidden tears, and then we say this is not “as it should be” (we have a false perception of what it should be-once size does not fit all), schedules overloaded in our lives and we say “I did not signed up for this”, and we end up creating relationships where we are extremely loaded and discouraged, with an anguished soul that grieves the Spirit of God to the point that the Holy Spirit can no longer minister to us (I’m speaking to those who have a Christian faith now). This is for those who know God and have it, those who do not know him, perish-they get divorced and end up from one marriage to another because even in their sinful nature they understands deep in their  soul that God’s perfect intention is that we are not alone.

People who suffer in marriages or relationships end up in a state of disaffection (not affection) of disaffection, this happens because of pain, abuse, loneliness, stress, and all the things that are part of of daily life and that somehow work against relationships (intentionally or unintentionally) if there is a lack of communication and there is room for anger.

Nobody wants to live like this, nobody wants to be in that place, in that emotional, spiritual or physical state (because it brings physical wear too), discouragement, fatigue and even bad appearance. If we sit down to think about the things that are working against our marriages we can understand that not all the time are our spouses. Moreover, we can become the best friends of our spouses unite as warriors to defeat in prayer everything that gets in the way and wants to impede our communication.

They are spiritual wars, satanic, evil attacks that are behind the marriage because it is an agreement ordained by God, it is sacred is a soul, spiritual and corporal union that brings peace and strength. And Satan wants us weak (we reprimand the wickedness of the devil and the time in which [if ever] we gave him power).

Sometimes we bring and carry bad references of our pasts, of what they have told us, of what we let others say about us. We load that into our curriculum, our emotional resume, and bring it into our new marital relationships as if that holds any value, forgetting devaluing the word of God by doing so.

When He says through His word in:Hebrews 8:13

13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. (New King James Version (NKJV)

Perhaps the way in which we show love is not the way our spouse would like then there will be a wrong door, communication is lost, because the message does not arrive… it’s not that we do not love, we love in our own way. We must love the way others need us to love them, and it is in our spouses to communicate how they like to be loved, to pray together so that the spirit of God reveals to both of them the path they have to walk.

We live in the era of the microwave, we want everything solved quickly, all without having to watch it, that others solve it for us. We do not want to veil the hole, we do not want to cook the roast or make the soups, we just want to heat the barbecue or buy the food and heat it up(we are talking about the marriage relationship still ya’ know so stop ya’ stomach here). This needs condiments, prayer, physical contact, fasting, tears, nakedness of the soul, talks that discover the colors of the heart and take out the skeletons of the closet to know why to pray for one another. Many times without realizing with our behavior and words we distance our spouses and they begin to look for security in another place.

The bible says that we should not sin in our anger, which shows that anger was a God given feeling-meaning that in our anger of FAITH (hope) we can reach and achieve great things, but if we use that feeling in a negative way we can make lots of errors and sin against God.

Expressing emotions is necessary, talking about what we feel is one of the greatest needs for our souls. —Denise

There is so much power in anger

How can we have anger and not sin in our marriage?

Believing that I can still use what I have inside, to be humble, grow intimately attached to my spouse, and apply it in a correct way, recognizing that I can still use it to achieve what WE want.

    1.  Talk about your emotions – Stabilize a place where you can clearly talk about what you feel, without judging one another and then take what does not please God in prayer (a place that does not hurt anyone or is near children ).
    2. Manage anger (or what is said to be unpleasant) – Learn to handle anger: How to calm yourself how to respond instead of reacting “He who is slow to anger is great of understanding; But he who is impatient in spirit exalts foolishness. ” (Proverbs 14:29 RVR1960)
    1.  Act don’t react: Read James 1:19-20  as often as needed!!! Listening and Doing “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires”.  —That verse will teach you to act and not react. In life we need to learn how to take action, to avoid unwanted reactions.
  1. Let love reign: “And if I had prophecy, and understood all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I had all faith, so as to remove the mountains, and have no love, I am nothing. And if I distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and have no love, it is of no use to me. ” (1 Corinthians 13: 2-3 RVR1960)

We can’t survive without one another, we must love each other unconditionally, take care of the spouse that God placed on your hands and know that you must submit to one another in love like no other.

“I, then, prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk as is worthy of the vocation with which you were called, with all humility and meekness, bearing with patience one another in love,” (Ephesians 4: 1-2 NKJ1960)

Even the love we give to conjugate, to our children and to other people reflects what we are and how we give by grace what we have received by grace. Not just because he loves us first, but rather because we want to live to worship Him with our lives.

“For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not for works, so that no one can boast. ” (Ephesians 2: 8-9 NKJ1960)

It is necessary to fight, cry and even leave our drool and snot on the altars if necessary. God wants us to fight for what we want! Let’s fight hard, ask God to give us the courage, anger and humbleness to fight with for what we want, to be encouraged by His Holy Spirit, to teach us the right path, to take away from us all the pain of the past and allow us to communicate with one another without anger and in the peace that only the blood of Christ can give. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.

(Psalm 126: 5NIV)

God bless you,

Denise Kilby
